About the Artist
Full name: Assumpta Nwokorie Artist name: Assumpta
Assumpta Nwokorie is an artist and creative whose work flows across visual art, writing, and poetic storytelling, guided by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Self-taught and intuitively developed, her creativity is not confined to one form, but expressed freely through multiple mediums. Her work explores themes of faith, identity, growth, and the human experience, often blending visual expression with poetic depth. She approaches art as both expression and revelation and a way to tell stories, evoke reflection, and create connection—producing work that is both intentional and impactful, inviting viewers to engage on a deeper level.
Unbound by labels, she’s an evolving creative voice that cannot be placed in a box. Beyond painting, Assumpta writes poetry and an author using language as an extension of her artistic voice. Her approach to creativity is holistic and Christ centered. Through her work, she aims to create experiences that are thoughtful, impactful, and grounded in purpose—bridging creativity with personal and collective reflection. My work is centered on revealing what is often overlooked—the quiet beauty, truth, and meaning that exist right in front of us. I create to draw attention back to the source of all creativity: God. In a world that often rushes past depth, my art invites a pause, a second look, a return to what is real and foundational.…
I am drawn to the beauty of life itself—how it is formed, sustained, and filled with purpose. Through my work, I explore the idea that nothing is random, that creation carries intention, and that true beauty is not just seen, but understood. I seek to uncover the deeper meaning behind what we experience, reminding us that life is not empty, but designed.
Artist statement: My work reveals overlooked beauty and truth, pointing back to God as the source of all creativity. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I create to awaken purpose, healing, shift perspective, and invite others to reconnect with their source and rediscover where they truly bloom and the true meaning of life.
