Pain of African Child portrays the silent suffering, vulnerability, and emotional weight carried by a child amid the harsh realities of life. Through expressive eyes and flowing tears, the fragmented silhouette reflects a continent marked by hardship, resilience, and fractured childhoods. The work explores pain not merely as sorrow, but as an experience that shapes identity, memory, and strength. Each texture and shadow speaks to stories often left unheard, inviting the viewer to look beyond the face and confront the human reality behind the pain.
This Work was inspired by my daily observation of the struggles every African child face in the streets. Navigating through life without the graces that come with knowing what tomorrow would bring.
