Mothership

Artwork story

*"Mothership" (2024)* *Medium:* Mixed media on canvas *Artist:* Jaece Agu / Jaece Art House *Description:* _“Mothership”_ explores the body as vessel, archive, and origin. The work presents a contemplative female figure rendered in muted, earthy tones, standing bare against a deep nocturnal background illuminated by a single moon. The focal point is the triangular crown atop her head — a stylized landscape of whitewashed buildings with terracotta roofs, nestled among greenery. This architectural form functions as a "mothership": a symbol of home, ancestry, and communal memory.
