Òrì (literally “head”) is more than the physical head. In Yoruba cosmology, Òrì is a person’s spiritual head and inner destiny — the part of a human being that carries their life path, purpose and personal fortune. This sculpture was born from the Yoruba belief that before the world meets us, our Òrì already knows our path.
This work is a gentle encouragement to trust your inner guide, to walk with patience, and to nurture good character (ìwà pẹ̀lẹ́). Even when the road feels slow, your Òrì still knows where you are going.
The piece stands as a reminder that true progress begins when we stop fighting our path and begin listening to the wisdom already placed within us.
